Cecilia Coppola

Cecilia Coppola manufactures porcelain objects that are designed both for everyday use and as collector's items. Her artistic work is based on the idea of connecting the reality of everyday life with a fantastic dream world.

"My porcelain objects are everyday objects that are viewed as if through a mind-expanding lens and that suddenly come to life like in fairy tales."

Always in search of the extraordinary, she strives to amaze the user in a surprising way through a simple gesture, a situation that your everyday objects capture.

"As in mythology, the fable, and later in psychoanalysis, the extraordinary is a means of sharpening awareness, discovering and opening up to the unexpected."

Coppola is interested in surprising the viewer and encouraging him to contemplate with pleasure in order to ultimately enable experience and insight.

Their tea services are produced in small series and are intended for daily use. The artistic teapots, on the other hand, are unique pieces and conceived as sculptures. However, all porcelain objects are inspired by the imaginative worldof children's literature and nature. Every single piece is handmade and decorated according to traditional techniques. The occasional decorative accents in polished gold once again underline the borrowings from a light-footed, entertaining, magical magical world from which their imaginative objects seem to spring.

Cecilia Coppola lives and works in Rimini, Italy. After training as a ceramist with the artist Giò Urbinati, she opened her own studio.

We are very pleased to present Cecilia Coppola exclusively in Austria.
