Since 1980, Rina Menardi has passionately explored the design of ceramics. Since then, she has developed working techniques and color patterns with the goal of achieving a perfection of form. She founded her eponymous company in 1995 together with her husband Valter Milanese.

The shapes by Rina Menardi arise in a balancing act between mind and soul. The mind demands clear lines and sharp boundaries, while the soul is expressed through softness and movement. In the vibration of these opposites lies her experience: "Balance is the true goal, in calmness lies the purpose."

Her intention is not to create intrusive objects, but those that suggest sensations and evoke our deepest emotions both visually and tactilely.

Although Rina works with clay, she does not consider herself a ceramist. "Clay allows me to give form to the here and now. It is a way to communicate with myself and subsequently with others. My humble goal is to naturally bring to light the things inherent within us."
